Railay Beach

Railay includes four beaches: Tonsai beach, the West Railay, the East Railay and Phra Nang. All are located among high cliffs. The west Railay beach is one of the most impressive and beautiful beaches in the south Thailand. Phra Nang is not developed and invested in other places, but this place still retains the wild and natural features.

Coming to the east Railay you can explore the night life here while going to the beaches. The Tonsai beach is much more peaceful. It’s an ideal place to read book or sunbath. Tonsai and Railay are connected by a forest path. If you like trekking, you can experience it.

Ao Nang

Diving is one of the most popular activities in the south Thailand. In Ao Nang, there are many PADI dive center run by professional divers such as Scuba Addicts Dive Centre, Poseidon Dive Academy, Ao Nang Divers, The Dive Ao Nang, và Aqua Vision. They offer many diving services in a day and diving courses as well.

From Ao Nang, you can get to many diving spots. The nearest ones are around the island near Koh Poda, Koh Talu, and Koh Tap. It will take you about 30 minutes to get there by the long tail boat. There are also diving spots such as Koh Bida Nok, Koh Bida Nai, Shark Point (Koh Phi Phi), Hin Daeng and Hin Muang (whale shark and saltwater crane are found here) at Andaman beach. Tree Top Adventure Park Kabi

Tree Top Adventure Park Krabi is highly appreciated. It’s one of the best parks, after Koh Chang, Trat, and Pattaya which is located in Ao Luek district, about 40 kilometers to the north of Ao Nang. Coming here, you can climb the tree top or chain-bridge.

Phallus Shrine in Phra Nang

Phallus temple at Phra Nang Cave (means princess) is located at the east of Phra Nang. Originally, this temple is two caves where the fisherman come to pray before going out. They say that the temple is the house of marine princess. They believe all their pray will bring them luck and success. However, this place is not well known for its legends, but for the “sacrifice” of the locals – colorful wooden linga.

Ao Nang Krabi Thai Boxing Stadium (Raja Two)

This stadium is the largest Muay Thai one in the south Thailand. It can accommodate 2000 audiences. The competitions are often held on Monday and Friday. There are even newcomers to the national championships, but at any level, these matches are very attractive.

  • Opening hours: Monday and Friday 9 pm to the midnight.
  • Location: turn right at the first corner of Nopparat Thara. Go straight about 700 meters and the stadium is on your right.

Giant catfish farm

The Giant catfish farm is an attractive destination outside the Nopparat beach and Ao Nang. This is rather a natural park, not a fish farm with deep lakes in the forest. The tickets are very cheap, about 100 bahts (with a bag of fish food). If you’re bored with beaches and cliffs in Krabi, let’s come to this place.

Climbing at Railay

Krabi is a paradise for climbing lovers. There are millions of visitors coming here to conquer the cliffs. There have been over 650 paths developed since the last 1980. Some famous destinations are located between Tham Phra Nang and the east Railay harbor. Those cliffs are suitable for both starters and experienced ones.

Krabi Shell Cemetery (Susan Hoi)

Susan Hoi is located 7 km south of Ao Nang on an area stretching 200 meters along Ban Laem Pho. It is believed to have existed from 40 to 25 million years ago. The most prominent feature of Susan Hoi is the fossil of hundreds or even millions of shellfish, mussels, snails and other marine life.
